Applications Infrastructure Engineer
Position Summary
The Enterprise Applications Support Generalist is responsible for the operational management, support, integration, governance, and lifecycle management of enterprise SaaS and business-critical applications. This role serves as the primary technical resource for application administration, user support, vendor coordination, identity integration, access management, and application optimization across identified cloud-based and on-premises platforms. The position works closely with Infrastructure, Security, Identity Management, Help Desk, and business stakeholders to ensure enterprise applications remain secure, available, and aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Application Administration
  • Administer and support enterprise SaaS and on-premises business applications.
  • Manage application configurations, permissions, workflows, and integrations.
  • Maintain application documentation, support procedures.
  • Monitor platform health, performance and service availability.
SaaS Application Support
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, provisioning, and application-related issues.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate support escalations.
  • Maintain application inventories, licensing information, and ownership records.
  • Support application onboarding, implementation, and retirement activities.
Identity & Access Management
  • Familiarity with SSO integrations using Okta and/or Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Manage SAML, OIDC, and SCIM integrations.
  • Support user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows.
  • Maintain RBAC models and application access controls.
  • Participate in access reviews and compliance audits.


Governance & Security
  • Maintain application ownership, support contacts, and operational documentation.
  • Ensure applications comply with security and governance standards.
  • Partner with Information Security and Compliance team on audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Vendor & Business Relationship Management
  • Serve as the technical liaison between vendors and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate issue resolution, enhancements, and application roadmaps.
  • Evaluate new applications and integration requirements.
  • Support application rationalization and consolidation initiatives.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
