Full Job Description
As our Applications Engineer- you will report to the Director Product Line.

The Applications Engineer is an engineering position with its primary focus on technical sales and sales support. The secondary focus will be to serve as a Product Proof of Concept engineer during low sales support demand periods.

The applications engineer identifies, understands, and defines technical requirements to support the quoting and proposal development processes. Specifically, you will collaborate with outside/inside sales, engineering/design, project management, and manufacturing and installation teams. We aim these collaborations at developing Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) and Scope of Work (SOW) solutions.

You will work with internal departments and suppliers to meet business goals of quality, cost, and delivery.

Important aspect of this role will look to apply the STD, CORE product offerings to meet market and customer needs. Work with customers and internal departments to develop solutions that meet the needs of customers and the business within this framework

We ask that you work with customers and all levels of Bevcorp sales and the Product Line Group. The Application Engineer develops an in-depth understanding of each customer's technical requirements and uses this knowledge to develop scope of work as an input to the qualifying and estimating process.

On a given day, you may:
  • Provide technical sales support by working with customers to define scope of work and to understand their needs vs wants
  • Be a representative for Bevcorp's portfolio of products and services and be familiar with JBT Marel's entire portfolio of products and services to support the JBT Marel philosophy
  • Present technical presentations outlining Bevcorp current capabilities
  • Leverage technical knowledge and help secure the sales opportunity through final customer acceptance
  • Develop cost estimates and project proposals
  • Collaborate with sales for future project opportunities, quote activity with probability of success estimates and status of sales opportunities
  • Obtain market intelligence and customer feedback to suggest potential improvements to the estimating and sales and marketing processes
  • Work with procurement, engineering/design, manufacturing and installation estimating teams to ensure efficient flow of information through the entire pre-sale process
  • Resolve customers' technical concerns with the support of team members/departments.
  • Collaborate with the product line team in the development of technical roadmaps that support current markets, reach other markets, to support revenue growth goals as directed by Bevcorp Product Line Leadership team
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Similar Degree with technical experience
  • 2+ years experience in manufacturing, engineering, marketing or technical sales
  • Experience in food, dairy and beverage process systems
  • Technical design capabilities including ability to read, develop, and understand P&ID's, Blueprints, process flow data and similar technical documents
  • Ability to develop and review technical written specifications
  • Experience in developing proposals and presenting technical solutions as part of the sales process
  • You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
