Application Developer (AD), Level 2

About this Role

You'll join our team as a general-purpose software engineer embedded in operations, responsible for the full product lifecycle of mission-critical tools. From design and prototyping through development, release, deployment, and maintenance, you'll own the entire journey. You'll work closely with analysts, operators, and fellow engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions that make a real difference.

Your day-to-day will blend both strategic and tactical work. You'll augment existing tools, derive and document requirements, build prototypes to demonstrate understanding of mission needs, and produce end-to-end toolsets that operate within mission constraints. You'll also provide technical consulting support across various software products and technologies, advising customers on operational direction. When the mission needs quick reaction support, you'll be there. And when longer development cycles demand feature-rich capabilities, you'll lead the way.

You'll take an active role in peer code reviews, coordinate across teams to integrate products developed by others into our toolkit, and communicate with users of varying technical backgrounds to deliver finished products that customers can actually use.

Requirements

• 6 years of experience with a B.S. in a technical discipline, OR 10 years of experience without a degree, OR 4 years of experience with an M.S. in a technical discipline
• Strong proficiency in C/C++/Python with explicit experience in network programming
• Proven ability to support fielded software systems
• Reverse engineering experience
• Familiarity with Git and Subversion
• Experience with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bamboo)
• Strong ability to coordinate and communicate with users of differing technical knowledge-operators, analysts, and other developers-to deliver finished products
• Active TS//SCI clearance with polygraph (required)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with any of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or Rust
• Experience developing CNO-specific software in Linux, Windows, or embedded environments
• Vulnerability research and exploit development experience
• Malware reverse engineering experience
• Solid understanding of cryptography
• Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
• Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations

Salary Range

$239,500 - $282,000

This range includes our flex income and depends upon your annual work hours.

Salary is determined on an individual basis following the interview process and considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education, and certifications.
