Job Title: BUILDING BASED EDUCATOR
Department: SCHOOL BUILDING BASED SUBS
Reports to: Principal
Location: Lawrence Public Family Academy
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:
Lawrence Public Family Academy is seeking exceptional Building-Based Educators to join our team. The ideal candidates possess a growth mindset, value collaboration and continuous feedback, are passionate about their content, and hold an unwavering belief that all students are capable of meeting rigorous academic expectations. Building-Based Educators will provide instructional support, classroom coverage, and contribute to a positive and equitable school culture that ensures every student's success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively to align curriculum to the rigor of the MA Curriculum Frameworks
• Check in daily with supervisor for coverage assignments
• Support classroom teachers with instruction during the school day
• Cover classes when lead teachers are absent
• Complete regularly scheduled duties and assignments outside of the classroom
• Follow regular teacher's lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate
• Assign classwork and homework as necessary and according to teachers' instructions
• Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students
• Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
• Supervise students outside of class such as in hallways and cafeterias as needed
• Demonstrate support and knowledge of the school's goals and mission
• Track students' grades, attendance, and other student data with accuracy and attention to detail
• Collaborate with school leadership to ensure teaching methods meet and exceed academic standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned
