Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize antenna solutions for a variety of wireless technologies on Pixel wearable products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Industrial Design, Product Design, and Electrical Engineering on concept design.
  • Manage the development and execution of antenna systems, including over-the-air performance testing.
  • Partner with vendors to co-develop and validate new antenna technologies and materials.
  • Define test plans to support high-volume production, resolving certification issues, and approving production data.

Full Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience using radio frequency(RF) test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, protocol and signaling testers) and antenna anechoic chamber, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Antenna, RF or Electromagnetics.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools for data collection/analysis.
  • Experiences of driving new technologies in the domain of RF, electromagnetics and wireless communication.
  • Familiarity with schematic creation and PCB design/review tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FCC, IC, CE, etc.) and their respective certification process.
  • Familiarity with cellular industry standards and specs (e.g. 3GPP, CTIA, PTCRB, WiFi alliance, etc.) with excellent communication and documentation skills.

As Antenna Design Engineer, you will be part of our hardware design team building amazing Pixel wearable products. Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize antenna solutions for Cellular, GNSS, Satellite, WiFi/BT, and UWB applications on Pixel wearable products.
  • Collaborate with Industrial Design (ID), Product Design (PD), Electrical Engineering (EE), Radio Frequency (RF), and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) teams on early concept design to define product architecture and enable goals.
  • Manage antenna system development and execution, including over-the-air (OTA) testing to evaluate radiated performance.
  • Partner with vendors to co-develop and validate new antenna technologies and materials meeting performance specifications.
  • Support high-volume mass production by defining test plans, debugging certification issues, and approve production data.
