Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and document failures of Analyzer equipment
  • Install and maintain analytical equipment and machinery
  • Provide Operating Discipline for analytic tasks within the maintenance zone
  • Assist in defining spare parts and scheduled services for analytical equipment in SAP
  • Develop operation and maintenance procedures for analytical equipment
  • Act as a liaison with suppliers and manufacturers regarding equipment issues
  • Maintain analyzer buildings and sample conditioning systems.

Focus: The Analyzer Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all types of Analyzer equipment used in the process to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Analyzer Technician Essential Job Functions:
  • Troubleshoots, improves, repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis of Analyzer equipment
  • Repairs, maintains, and installs analytical equipment and machinery
  • Provides Operating Discipline for analytical tasks in maintenance zone
  • Assists PPM Coordinator role in defining appropriate analytical spare parts, building equipment files in SAP, and defining necessary scheduled services for analytical equipment in the maintenance zone
  • Develops procedures on operations, isolation, and maintenance of analytical equipment; assists in training on procedures where appropriate
  • Acts as liaison between suppliers/manufacturers and manufacturing partners for problems with analytical equipment
  • Maintains analyzer buildings and sample conditioning systems
Analyzer Technician Minimum Requirements:
  • Must meet one of the following education and/or experience requirements:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years as an Analyzer Technician in an Industrial and/or Chemical Process Environment; OR
    • Associate's degree* in instrumentation or relevant technical discipline.
  • Previous process analyzer, lab analyzer, or I&E experience
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written project specifications, manufacturer's recommendations, P&IDs, and MSDS sheets. Must be willing to work within the Maintenance Work Process (MWP) and help resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP preferred
  • Must be willing to make call outs and work overtime per plant needs
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license


*Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.
