Risk | Financial Risk New York | ALM - Liquidity Risk Management | Analyst | New York

About the position:

Are you interested in understanding how a financial institution manages its funding and liquidity risks? As a Liquidity Risk Analyst, you will help monitor the liquidity position of ING US, analyze emerging risks, and support reporting to senior stakeholders. Working closely with colleagues across Risk, Treasury and Finance, you will gain exposure to key balance sheet and risk management activities. About the department:

Financial Risk has primary responsibility to provide independent and effective on-site monitoring, controlling, reporting, and assessment of ING US’ market risk positions. The ALM team is part of Financial Risk and is responsible for assessing asset liability management, interest rate and liquidity risk.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor balance sheet developments relevant for the liquidity risk profile of ING US.
  • Prepare, review and analyze business-as-usual and stressed liquidity risk metrics and monitor these against the risk appetite of ING US.
  • Support the preparation of liquidity risk reports for senior management, committees, and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and documentation of the liquidity risk metrics, methodologies, reports and processes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Group Treasury, Finance, Financial Markets and the business lines.
  • Assist with the preparation for regulatory examinations, SOX, model validation and internal audit reviews.

Qualifications and Competencies

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, or a similar quantitative field.
  • Some experience or proven interest in banking and liquidity risk management is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver under deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into relevant information for management.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, Power BI, etc.) is preferred.

Salary Range $79,000-100,000

The salary range listed reflects base salary only. This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
