Purpose and Job Summary:
NXT Capital is looking for a junior team member to be responsible for supporting ongoing program management, analyzing investment performance, and facilitating communication with LPs and third-party service providers. In addition, the Analyst will be expected to contribute to the evaluation of fund structures and transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Manage the offering process of deals being sold to programs and work with direct lending deal teams to prepare memos, assignment agreements and participation certificates to facilitate new asset sales and deal modifications; ensure delivery of proper documentation in a timely manner
- Assist in the tracking of program capital needs and deployment activity
- Maintain a strong understanding of portfolio composition, investment guidelines, and program requirements
- Act as liaison across multiple groups within NXT Capital, including investor solutions, direct lending deal teams, finance, operations, legal and compliance
- Assist in executing and tracking FX hedging in coordination with treasury and external partners
Investor Reporting
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting requirements for both internal and external constituents, including reporting packages, investor letters, internal program reviews, data tapes and compliance requests
- Assist in developing, maintaining and enhancing marketing presentations for prospective and current investors
- Assist with CLO and Bank Credit Facility monitoring and reporting
- Assist with providing ad hoc investor requests and analysis
Fund Modeling and Analytics
- Maintain fund/program-level financial models, ensure accuracy and consistency of model assumptions and support periodic reforecasting and scenario analysis for existing vehicles
- Assist in modeling new program structures, evaluating structural considerations including fee mechanics, capital deployment etc.
- Analyze and articulate key return drivers of legacy funds to support investor diligence and inquiries
Other
- Develop and maintain an understanding of NXT’s loan platform and NXT’s investor solutions programs, including investment guidelines and program reporting requirements
- Become proficient with NXT’s data sources, including PowerBI, Salesforce and ad hoc reporting tool for data gathering, analysis and reporting
- Recommend and assist in implementation of process changes, corrections and/or data improvements. Contribute to the firmwide (ORIX) asset management initiatives and team up to advance corporate wide data
- Support implementation of process improvements, data enhancements, and implementing operational efficiencies using AI as appropriate (including Microsoft Co-Pilot)
- Maintain and enhance deal templates and analytical tools
- Assist in cash management for various programs
- Support ad hoc RFPs and due diligence requests

Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor6s degree required (major in finance, business, accounting or a related field preferred)
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant asset management, portfolio management, financial analysis, accounting or analytics related experience within a financial services or asset management company
- Excellent understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with senior management, investors, service providers, and internal constituents
- Strong Microsoft Excel and modeling skills with exposure to data & analytics software tools a plus; proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint; strong propensity to use AI to drive process improvement
- Proven analytical, problem solving, and logical reasoning skills needed to enhance business decision making and current processes using data and technology
- Motivated, self-starter with confidence to handle high priority initiatives and facilitate day-to-day needs of diverse reporting user community
- Excellent organizational skills, with ability to handle a wide variety of responsibilities and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic and a self-starter
Annual base salary gross: $90,000 - $110,000 (IL only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of ORIX6s salary for this position based on geography. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate6s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX6s total compensation package for employees.
