What You’ll Be DoingThis Analyst position is primarily for Fixed Income, Currency and Commodity coverage. Under the guidance of the business leader, the individual will be responsible for client coverage out of CIBC - Chicago and support a multi-product desk. This role will include an assigned client portfolio and will require the pricing, execution, and booking of trades.It will also include serving as a productive team member and helping as a backup for others. An essential part of the function will be to ensure coordination with Commercial Banking.

How You’ll Succeed
Main Objectives:
- Executes the sales function, ensuring that all transactions are executed in accordance with established risk management strategies and risk parameters

Within Mid-Market Solutions Group - US:
- Work closely with Commercial Banking to identify new clients & opportunities
- Actively promote/market new concepts, products and services
- Act as an information source on regulations, processes and procedures to other areas of CIBC and provide value-added consulting
- Ensure that recommendations and opinions offered to clients are in compliance with legislation and policies of CIBC Champion CIBC values, and provide support in a manner consistent with the highest quality standards and CIBC objectives
Cross-Functional Relationships
- Partner with trading, risk, origination and structuring teams across the firm to enhance CIBCs functional capabilities
- This job liaises with Commercial Banking
Who You Are
- University degree in Business/Economics (or equivalent) with 0-3 years of experience in the industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets,
- Ability to generate creative (out-of-the box) insights that differentiate CIBC from competition
- Teamwork 6 work within the sales/trading organization
- Business unit must achieve annual revenue / notional targets in an extremely competitive environment
- Developing productive relationships with 3clients 4, both internal and external
- Maximizing new business opportunities, which requires a quick response to changing priorities and information
- Developing and maintaining current knowledge in one 2s product area

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $115,000-$150,000 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit 2s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
