Business Overview:

The Global Macro business offers a comprehensive suite of interest rates, Foreign Exchange & Commodities products to address the full spectrum of our client's needs from financing and market access to yield enhancement and hedging. Acting as primary dealer and market maker in all key markets, we offer liquidity in primary and secondary markets in government bonds, interest rate derivatives (G10 & Local Markets), inflation, FX and commodity derivatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage BNP Paribas's global resources in trading, strategy and economics to add value to institutional clients across Developed Market Rates.
  • Generate trade ideas and content that drive new business opportunities with asset managers and hedge funds.
  • Develop and deliver consistent content for strategic clients by leveraging our internal resources and generating dialogue with key decision makers.
  • Coordinate with peers in London and Asia to institutionalize accounts, provide seamless global coverage and exchange information in real time about markets and clients.
  • Work closely with colleagues in other business lines to uncover cross-selling opportunities and help promote the firm's brand in the US.
  • Grow BNP Paribas's market share in in the US Rates product by delivering first class service and solutions to clients.
  • Address client needs in an open and responsible manner with the highest standards of compliance and ethics.
  • Remain up to date with market developments, maintain and grow professional skills by participating in mandatory training and taking advantage of the firm's development opportunities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in DM Rates sales
  • Technical expertise in rates products
  • Strong quantitative skills and macro-economic understanding to generate active client discussion
  • Strong institutional client relationships
  • Collegial attitude focused on both individual and team production
  • Impeccable conduct and respect for a strong compliance culture and regulatory framework

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and familiarity with clients in the US institutional space

FINRA Registrations Required:

  • Series 7/63

CFTC Swap Dealer Associated Person (if yes, NFA Swaps Proficiency Program is required):
  • Yes

SEC Security-Based Swap Dealer Associated Person:

  • Yes

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $110,000 to $130,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
