Full Job Description
About the role

The Commercial Planning Analyst supports the AVP of Commercial Planning in the forecasting, reporting, and analysis of the North America business. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate sales forecasts and reporting, consolidating commercial inputs, and monitoring business performance across retailers and channels. Working closely with the AVP and cross-functional partners, the analyst will support regular forecast submissions, retailer performance reviews, new product launches, promotional planning, allocations, and executive reporting. The role will also help maintain key planning databases and reporting tools, ensuring information is accurate, organized, and delivered on time. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to translate data into clear insights that support the Commercial Planning team and broader business. This is an opportunity to develop a strong foundation in commercial planning while gaining exposure to forecasting, retail performance, and cross-functional business planning across North America.

As an Analyst in Commercial Planning, you will:
  • Forecasting: Support the North America forecasting process by coordinating forecast submissions, consolidating inputs across Commercial teams, validating data, and ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Manage weekly and monthly commercial reporting, including business recaps, retailer scorecards, and performance reporting; analyze performance versus Forecast, Budget, and Last Year to highlight key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Databases & Planning Tools: Maintain commercial planning databases, forecasting models, reporting tools, and master data, ensuring accuracy and integrity across planning and reporting processes.
  • Allocations: Support inventory allocation planning by maintaining allocation files, monitoring inventory availability, and coordinating with Sales and Supply Chain to support distribution across retailers and channels.
  • Sampling: Coordinate the commercial and financial management of sampling, including collating requests, tracking spend and volumes, and supporting allocations across teams and initiatives. Act as the Commercial Planning gatekeeper to ensure requests are captured, monitored, and aligned to approved plans, providing analysis and visibility where applicable.
  • NPD & Promotions: Support new product launch forecasting, promotional planning, and post-launch performance analysis, tracking performance against forecast and highlighting key variances.
  • Process Improvement: Support improvements to reporting, forecasting, and planning processes, including opportunities to streamline and automate recurring activities.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Partner with key cross-functional teams to gather inputs, maintain alignment, and provide the VP & AVP with the analysis and information required to support commercial decision-making.
