What You Will Do

The successful candidate will serve in a technical developer role, working with other developers and project leads on major efforts, or independently as needed, depending on project size, scope, and timelines. The candidate will develop functional and technical documentation utilizing standard industry analysis tools and techniques. The candidate will also develop new applications within the Kinder Morgan IT developer framework and maintain and enhance existing applications as needed by customer business groups.

Position Description:
  • Responsible for converting business specifications into functional & technical specification documents.
  • Collaborate with team members, both IT and business customers, in designing and developing minor to complex solutions, tools, scripts, & applications.
  • Develop, support, and integrate applications using industry and company standards & best practices.
  • Adhere to Waterfall and AGILE software development life cycle & project management principles.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for business and application improvements within the company's and team's standards and platforms.
  • Analyze and document technical capabilities and requirements for new and existing systems.
  • Understand and follow solid object-oriented programming principles.
  • Enhance & develop new user-facing features.
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Optimizing components for efficiency and performance.
  • Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application code.

What You Need

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • At least 3+ years of experience using Microsoft technologies in an application development environment.
  • Extensive experience in using T-SQL to write and maintain complex business solutions.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the .NET application model.
  • Must be fluent in .NET framework environment (C# / VB. NET / ASP. NET / MVC), SQL Server data management.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing C# .NET and SQL Server-based solutions, tools, and applications.
  • Experience in the Project life cycle, Design, Development, Testing, Migrations, and Implementations.
  • Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate systems requirements verbally and in writing.
  • Experience working on multiple assignments during the same time frame and juggling tasks based on relative priorities with supervision commensurate with grade level.
  • Use time effectively and efficiently; a team player who values the input of others and strives to solve problems for the good of all.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the JIRA ticketing platform.
  • Experience integrating Git-based development with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in developing applications for Oil and Gas companies.
  • Experience in Leading Projects
  • Experience in Crystal reporting, SSIS, and SSRS is a plus.
