Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced professional to oversee and enhance primary care nursing services at our Laurel Village location. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a vital role in optimizing patient care, staff support, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities- Oversee primary care nursing services and patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
- Provide clinical and administrative support to faculty, residents, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff.
- Identify opportunities for practice improvement, focusing on operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and readiness, ensuring a safe and high-quality care environment.
- Manage personnel, clinic staffing, and materials resources, ensuring alignment with UCSF standards and expectations.
- Individualize nursing care to meet patients' unique physiological and psychological needs.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives for practice enhancement.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical performance, providing feedback and support to nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, including infection control measures.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field, with a valid RN license in California.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role in primary care, or outpatient settings.
- Strong clinical expertise in primary care nursing, with a solid understanding of patient assessment and care planning.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and effectively communicate with patients.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and healthcare information systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex situations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to perform limited clinical practice as needed.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with nursing best practices.
Salary InformationThe final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
