JOB DESCRIPTION

.As an Alternative Investment Specialist within J.P. Morgan Chase, you will be front and center representing our brand and interacting with our clients to offer the best investment solutions to meet their financial needs.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage Alternatives documents, including, submission, monitoring and working with clients to complete/correct
  • Support Private Client Advisors and their clients by assisting with service requests and alternative investment transactions
  • Help gather required documentation and coordinate with partners to ensure timely and accurate completion of transactions
  • Respond to basic inquiries related to alternative investments, escalating complex issues to senior team members
  • Learn and follow operational procedures, compliance requirements, and industry best practices to ensure activities are executed accurately and in accordance with firm policies
  • Collaborate with Advisors, clients, and cross-functional teams to collect necessary information and facilitate approvals
  • Track the progress of requests and provide status updates to Advisors and clients as needed
  • Develop foundational knowledge of alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, private real estate, and infrastructure
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay current on product offerings, operational changes, and regulatory updates
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the operations support team
  • Seek guidance and mentorship from senior team members to support professional development

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • At least 1 year of Financial Services Experience
  • Interest in alternative investments and willingness to learn
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • A valid and active Series 7 license is required or must be obtained within 90 days of starting in the role as a condition of employment
  • If you were registered after October 1, 2018 you must also have a valid and active Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam
  • A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license is required or must be obtained within 90 days of starting in the role as a condition of employment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Willingness to adapt and learn new technology and regulatory policies.
  • Experience in operations or client service is a plus.
