MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented All-Source Intelligence Analyst to join our team on-site in Sterling, VA.

Each day U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace. The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of big data solutions to promote efficient trade and travel. These solutions provide CBP personnel with additional tools to evaluate potential threats from legitimate trade and travel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepares finished analytic products, assessments, briefings, and other written or oral products on current threats and trends based on the collection, research, and analytic tradecraft of all sources of classified and unclassified information.
  • Identifies reporting of interest from nationwide encounters and information to be included in weekly intelligence briefings, coordinates with briefers through email, and assists with the construction of concise informational slides.
  • Provides all-source intelligence analysis on topics related to homeland security, including border security, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and critical infrastructure protection.
  • Provides collection research, analysis, and recommendations regarding liaison efforts with operational elements, external intelligence agencies, and federal law enforcement elements to foster information sharing.
  • Employs IC analytic standards, tradecraft, methodologies, and techniques to prepare assessments of current threats and trends for consumers ranging from senior U.S. officials to state, local, and private-sector customers.
  • Collaborates with analysts across the IC, law enforcement, and other agencies on products, working groups, and information-sharing forums.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience as an all-source intelligence analyst (Equivalent experience accepted: HS/GED & 6+ years, AS/AA & 4+ years, MS/MA/MBA & 0+ years, or PhD & 0+ years).
  • Experience in strategic planning and analysis, as well as collaborating and coordinating all-source analytic assessments with agencies across the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with external law enforcement and IC partners and producing finished analytical intelligence products by IC standards.
  • Experience using IC analytic systems and tools (such as classified message databases, Analyst's Notebook/i2, WISE, or Palantir) and Office 365 administrative software.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) National Targeting Center (NTC) experience.
  • Specific experience in or with intelligence production related to counterterrorism, counternarcotics, counterintelligence, illicit trade, or alien smuggling.
  • Current or prior work in a liaison capacity to another component of CBP or another agency, providing advice, guidance, and direction on national and international intelligence programs and policy.
  • Familiarity with unique DHS systems and databases, including research and reporting systems such as U-PAX, IRS-NG, AFI, and USEC.
  • Written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to write and brief for various audiences with differing perspectives.
  • Well-organized, process-oriented, and team-focused, with strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills to work effectively with government and industry personnel.


Clearance Requirements:

  • Must hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must have or be able to obtain DHS CBP Suitability.


Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
