Position OverviewThe Alfresco Developer will support the OST Apps project by providing technical expertise for the migration of enterprise content and data from one government environment to another. The primary focus of this role will be the installation, configuration, development, and ongoing support of the latest version of the Alfresco platform within an AWS environment, including deployment to Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). The resource will also support the compilation and installation of custom application code, execution of bulk and delta data migrations, and implementation and support of the Audit Database ETL process. The resource will work closely with technical teams and government stakeholders to ensure the migration and deployment activities are performed securely, accurately, and with minimal disruption to business operations.
Core Responsibilities- Strategic Execution: Support the planning and execution of Alfresco platform implementation and content/data migration activities, including the development and execution of migration strategies, processes, and technical solutions.
- Operational Oversight: Install, configure, and support the latest version of Alfresco within the target government environment. Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system stability and operational readiness.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with government stakeholders, project manager, infrastructure teams, security personnel, and other cross-functional teams to support migration planning, implementation, testing, and deployment activities.
- Technical Performance: Install, configure, deploy, and support the latest version of Alfresco within AWS, including deployment and configuration on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). Configure Alfresco repositories, content models, metadata, workflows, permissions, integrations, and other platform components based on project and end-client requirements. Compile, package, configure, and install custom application code and related components within the AWS environment. Support application deployments, upgrades, troubleshooting, and configuration across development, testing, and production environments.
Minimum Requirements- Education: BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline
- Experience: 10 years of experience of which 7 must be specialized.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Alfresco and understanding of AWS software.
- Compliance: Must meet DOT OST Contract requirements.
- Certifications: Alfresco certification is preferred but not required. Relevant certifications in Java development, Linux, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), or enterprise content management are also desirable.
Preferred Expertise- Demonstrated success in Federal Contracting.
- Familiarity with Alfresco development and agile methodology.
