Job DescriptionCantor Fitzgerald's Investment Banking division is establishing a dedicated AI function and seeks a Vice President to own the end-to-end creation, deployment, and adoption of AI tools across all deal-making activities. Reporting to the Head of AI, you will partner with bankers, compliance, and technology teams to design solutions that embed directly into pitch preparation, financial analysis, diligence, and market surveillance, driving measurable efficiency and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities- Design and build AI-powered applications for core IB workflows such as pitch decks, comparable company analysis, CIM drafting, diligence summarization, client research, and market surveillance.
- Own the full development lifecycle: data sourcing, LLM integration, backend logic, and user-facing interfaces; prototype rapidly and iterate based on banker feedback.
- Integrate solutions with firm data infrastructure including FactSet, PitchBook, SEC EDGAR, and internal databases to deliver context-aware insights.
- Establish technical standards, architectural guidelines, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails to ensure production-grade performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with coverage groups to translate high-friction tasks into tractable AI problems and serve as senior liaison on AI strategy.
- Create and maintain enablement assets-documentation, training, support channels-and drive adoption through measurable metrics.
- Manage the AI request intake pipeline, prioritize initiatives, scope deliverables, and communicate timelines to stakeholders.
- Monitor deployed tools for performance, usage, and issue resolution; continuously refine based on real-world data.
- Contribute to the long-term AI roadmap, resource planning, and hiring recommendations for the function.
- Navigate compliance, data sensitivity, and regulatory constraints, partnering with InfoSec and Legal as integral collaborators.
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a closely related financial services role.
- Deep functional fluency in IB deal processes including pitch construction, financial modeling, CIM preparation, and capital markets execution.
- Hands-on experience architecting and deploying LLM-based solutions, including context pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and cost/quality trade-offs.
- Full-stack prototyping skills with ability to integrate data sources, build backend logic, and create user-friendly interfaces.
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and familiarity with financial data APIs such as Bloomberg, PitchBook, or SEC EDGAR.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with a track record of identifying problems and delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Strong judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes environments and ability to set direction without complete information.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for senior bankers and convey IB context to technology teams.
- Experience designing AI solutions within compliance, data security, and regulatory frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, or a quantitative field; advanced degree is a plus.
Compensation- $170,000- $200,000
