We're looking for a Senior Backend Developer who's ready to roll up their sleeves and help us design and scale a next-generation data platform that powers AI-driven applications at the heart of modern healthcare.

What You'll Do:

Architect the Future: Lead the design and development of a scalable, secure data platform built for AI-first healthcare solutions.

Build with Purpose: Collaborate with AI researchers, developers, and clinicians to bring powerful tools and insights into patient care.

Engineer for Scale: Own backend infrastructure for data ingestion, storage, and retrieval-ensuring performance, security, and reliability.

Model Complexity Simply: Design data models that reflect the richness and nuance of real-world healthcare data.

Empower Smart Search: Integrate NLP and search tech to enable conversational and semantic search, along with auto-summarization capabilities.

Streamline the Flow: Develop data pipelines using Kafka, Flink, RabbitMQ, and other tools to ensure efficient and real-time data movement.

Champion Data Privacy: Ensure compliance and security with access controls, encryption, and best-in-class privacy protocols.

Lead with Impact: Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and help shape a culture of technical excellence.

Innovate Constantly: Stay ahead of emerging AI/ML, cloud, and platform trends to drive continuous platform innovation.

What You Bring:

Proven Expertise: 6+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend and data-centric systems.

Technical Mastery: Strong in Java, Python, or similar languages, and in building RESTful APIs and microservices.

Cloud-Savvy: Deep experience with cloud-native development (OCI, AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Database & Architecture Depth: In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data access controls, and search tools like Opensearch and Pinecone.

Pipelines & Messaging: Hands-on experience with tools like Kafka, Flink, RabbitMQ, and Oracle Golden Gate.

Engineering Rigor: Strong foundation in system design, distributed systems, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Team Player: Excellent communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams and is passionate about mentoring others.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
