Full Job Description
Kalman & Company is seeking to hire an experienced AI/ML Integration Support Specialist to support an onsite position at the Pentagon. This position is tied to a proposal effort. This position requires an active Secret Clearance. The salary range is $110K/yr-$195K/yr depending on the qualifications held.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • The AI/ML Integration Specialist must possess demonstrated experience integrating advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities within Department of War (DoW) frameworks. Key responsibilities include evaluating AI tool suitability, defining data schema alignments, configuring APIs, and establishing continuous verification frameworks for AI systems.
    • Identifying and evaluating existing AI tools for integration suitability.
    • Analyzing current system architectures to determine optimal AI integration points.
    • Drafting technical roadmaps to support phased AI adoption.
    • Identifying and documenting potential risks, interoperability challenges, and resource requirements associated with AI integration projects.
    • Assist in managing the data flow between existing systems and integrated AI models to ensure data readiness. Specific tasks include:
      • Supporting data mapping and schema alignment strategies between source systems and AI tools.
      • Providing technical inputs and design support for modifying data pipelines to meet AI requirements.
      • Drafting proposed procedures for data quality, security, and compliance to ensure data is fit for AI consumption.
  • Provide technical coordination and execution support for the AI integration process.

Specific tasks include:
  • Perform testing, validation, and performance monitoring for integrated AI systems.

  • Assisting with the design and documentation of technical frameworks to monitor and verify AI components, ensuring they remain secure, usable, and perform in accordance with established parameters.
  • Developing draft test and evaluation criteria to help the Government validate that integrated AI systems meet operational and mission objectives.
  • Performing ongoing technical monitoring and system evaluations to identify security vulnerabilities, prevent performance degradation, and verify the accuracy, safety, and reliability of AI-driven outputs.
  • Assisting technical teams with configuring APIs and data connectors for AI services.
  • Documenting and defining technical requirements for interfacing with AI models (excluding the development of the models themselves).
  • Validating that integrated AI solutions align with intended user workflows and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • An Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Master's or Bachelor's with equivalent experience (Computer Science, Data Science)
