Job Summary:
Seeking an AI Architect at the Principal/Staff Engineer level to own the architecture, orchestration, and trust/autonomy boundaries of production-grade Agentic AI systems. The role will focus on designing and delivering multi-agent or autonomous AI systems that can make decisions and take actions at enterprise scale, rather than serving solely as conversational interfaces. The architect will directly own core technical architecture, define when AI agents should act autonomously versus defer to human oversight, and establish evaluation frameworks that demonstrate reliability for production autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own the core architecture and technical direction of production-grade Agentic AI and autonomous AI systems.
• Design multi-agent architectures and orchestration frameworks that support autonomous decision-making and action execution.
• Define trust, safety, and autonomy boundaries, including when agents can act independently and when human intervention or approval is required.
• Lead Agentic AI systems from prototype through production deployment at enterprise scale.
• Design and implement evaluation systems to measure agent reliability, performance, safety, and readiness for autonomous operation.
• Establish technical patterns and architecture standards for reliable, scalable, and maintainable agent-based systems.
• Drive architecture decisions across agent orchestration, evaluation, autonomy, and production operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable Agentic AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on the development and deployment of autonomous AI systems.
Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of overall software or AI engineering experience.
• 3+ years of recent, hands-on experience building and deploying Agentic AI or autonomous AI systems in production.
• Direct ownership of core system architecture and technical design for production AI systems.
• Proven experience taking multi-agent or autonomous AI systems from prototype through production at significant scale.
• Experience building AI systems capable of making decisions and taking actions rather than functioning solely as chatbot interfaces.
• Experience designing and implementing evaluation systems that demonstrate the reliability and readiness of AI agents for autonomous operation.
• Strong understanding of agent architecture, orchestration, autonomy, evaluation, and production AI engineering.
• Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to independently drive architecture decisions and technical direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working at large-scale AI-native organizations or comparable AI-focused technology companies.
• Exposure to regulated or mission-critical environments such as financial services, healthcare, or infrastructure.
