About the Role
Join Indotronix as an Aerospace Technical Design Level 4 professional supporting advanced aircraft design and manufacturing operations. Based 100% onsite at our Washington locations, you will play a vital role in the entire aircraft product lifecycle, from concept through production, in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to innovate on real-world aerospace challenges, work with cutting-edge CAD tools, and interact with cross-disciplinary teams to advance your technical career in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

- Apply advanced drafting principles to resolve real-time product and process issues within fabrication and production.
- Create, modify, and manage detailed CAD models, parts, assemblies, and product structures to meet quality and operational requirements.
- Translate engineering concepts into precise part geometry and comprehensive assembly definitions using CATIA or similar platforms.
- Implement model definition changes based on engineering and conceptual input.
- Collaborate with Design, Stress, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams to drive design improvements and resolve technical challenges.
- Provide materials and process engineering support for electrical, electronic, and electromechanical aerospace components.
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, process documentation, and component requirements for certification and production support.
- Identify and assess non-conformance impacts, support corrective/preventative actions, and participate in root cause analysis for failed components.
- Contribute to the evaluation of emerging technologies for future aerospace applications.
- Generate technical documentation, engineering specifications, and requirements for tools, materials, and processes.
- Adapt to agile production environments, supporting multiple shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

- Minimum 6 years' experience in aerospace drafting or design, focusing on detail and assembly parts.
- Proficiency in CATIA or equivalent 3D solid modeling software.
- Strong understanding of aerospace product structures and installations.
- Familiarity with machining processes for metallic parts.
- Experience with Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT) or similar systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to excel in fast-paced manufacturing and production environments.
- Associate degree in drafting, aerospace design, CAD modeling, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
