Full Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Field Application Engineering Senior Manager to lead a high-performing technical sales engineering team and drive growth across our Hardware Assisted Verification (HAV) portfolio. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in hardware emulation, emulation offload/acceleration, FPGA prototyping, DFT, and power/low-power verification of complex SoCs to guide customer engagements, shape product direction, and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and R&D.

You will develop and mentor Field AEs, ensure successful technical evaluations, and represent customer needs across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership position that requires strong technical credibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence roadmap decisions. The role involves regular customer interaction and requires up to 50% travel.

Key Responsibilities

Opportunity & Technical Engagement
  • Lead Field AE team execution across technical sales activities for assigned Portfolio/Product Line.
  • Guide evaluations and customer engagements with strong knowledge of emulation, offload/hybrid flows, prototyping, DFT, and power-aware verification (UPF/1801)
  • Present technical value and business impact (ROI, TTM, productivity) to customers and executives.
  • Define success criteria for technical engagements and ensure competitive differentiation.

Business & Account Planning
  • Partner with Sales and Account Directors on opportunity planning and multi-year strategy.
  • Identify new business, customer requirements, and competitive trends; provide structured feedback to Marketing and R&D to influence roadmap and product enhancements.
  • Support regional technical account planning and cross-Portfolio solution strategy.

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, R&D, Support, and Services to address customer requirements and technical issues.
  • Prioritize Field AE resource allocation across accounts and engagements.
  • Drive alignment and collaboration across regions for global accounts.

People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Field AE team.
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, training, performance, and retention.
  • Ensure continuous development in emulation, prototyping, DFT, and low-power methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and technical excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
  • BS in Engineering/Computer Science and 10+ years relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated leadership of technical sales or Field AE organizations.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Hardware emulation & emulation offload/acceleration
    • FPGA prototyping for SoC/ASIC
    • DFT (scan, ATPG, MBIST/LBIST, compression)
    • Power/low-power verification (UPF/1801, isolation/retention, power-aware debug)
  • Strong ability to translate technical value into business outcomes.
  • Proven capability in multi-year planning, resource modeling, and influencing product roadmaps.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
  • Willing to travel up to 50%.

The pay range for this position is $167,200 - $334,400 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
