Join Manulife Wealth's Capital Markets Group as an Associate and support the Advisor Succession Program and broader capital markets initiatives. In this role, you will help manage advisor book acquisition transactions from initial assessment through closing while contributing to new issue transactions, structured products, M&A assignments, and strategic growth initiatives. Your work will help deliver investment opportunities and strategic solutions for Manulife Wealth clients and advisors. This opportunity provides hands-on transaction experience and meaningful exposure to senior executives, advisors, issuers, legal counsel, and key stakeholders across Manulife Wealth.
Position Responsibilities:- Support advisor book acquisition transactions from initial assessment through closing, coordinating workflows, milestones, approvals, deliverables, and closing requirements.
- Prepare transaction materials, purchase agreements, approval memoranda, financial models, valuations, management reports, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with advisors, senior Capital Markets Group professionals, Manulife Wealth colleagues, legal counsel, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
- Support equity and fixed income new issues, structured products distribution, M&A assignments, and other strategic growth initiatives.
- Conduct market, industry, company, and competitive research while maintaining organized transaction records, pipeline reports, and due diligence documentation.
Required Qualifications:- Two to five years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, capital markets, private equity, transaction advisory, equity research, wealth management, or a related analytical role.
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational, project management, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent deadlines accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting M&A, valuation, transaction execution, due diligence, or other complex financial transactions.
- CFA, CBV, or CPA designation, or progress toward one of these designations.
- Knowledge of capital markets, structured products, equity and fixed income new issues, or wealth management.
- Professional presence and the ability to engage effectively with advisors, executives, legal counsel, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and contribute effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
