ABOUT THE TEAM

Public Markets Solutions partners with Public Markets investment teams to design, evolve and support scalable digital, data and analytical capabilities across the investment lifecycle. The team connects investment priorities with technology delivery, working collaboratively with business, data, technology and operational partners to translate business needs into practical and sustainable solutions aligned with the organization's operating model and enterprise direction.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As an Advisor, Public Markets Solutions, you'll:

  • Liaise with Public Markets investment teams and business, data, technology and operational partners to understand their needs and guide the definition and implementation of appropriate solutions
  • Advise partners on how digital, data and analytical solutions can support their business needs, while considering the Public Markets digital vision, established priorities and available market capabilities
  • Research and assess opportunities that respond to evolving Public Markets needs, lead assigned opportunity assessments and contribute to cross-functional recommendations
  • Coordinate and take ownership of assigned business assessments, including requirements gathering, impact analysis, option assessment and the preparation of recommendations and supporting documentation
  • Guide and support solution delivery activities, including requirements definition, analysis, testing, implementation, deployment and adoption
  • Analyze complex business, operational or solution-related issues, organize the appropriate contributors and coordinate problem-resolution efforts
  • Recommend practical improvements to solutions, processes and procedures to improve efficiency, effectiveness, scalability and user experience
  • Oversee day-to-day activities related to supported solutions, including maintenance, operational requests, incidents and problem resolution, while ensuring alignment with business needs and organizational requirements
  • Monitor relevant industry practices, technologies and solution capabilities, and assess their potential application within Public Markets
  • Provide functional guidance and share knowledge with team members and stakeholders to support the effective definition, implementation and use of solutions


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in investment technology, business or systems analysis, digital solutions, financial analytics, asset management or financial services
  • Good knowledge of Public Markets investment processes, financial instruments and the digital, data and analytical capabilities used by investment professionals
  • Experience gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional requirements or solution recommendations
  • Experience conducting business assessments, analyzing complex issues and contributing to the definition, implementation and adoption of solutions
  • Experience with investment management or financial analytics platforms, including Bloomberg solutions.
  • Working knowledge of data and business intelligence technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, communication, presentation and documentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned work streams, coordinate contributors and maintain productive relationships with business and technology partners
  • Ability to evaluate dependencies, establish priorities and develop practical contingency or mitigation measures
  • CFA, FRM, CIPM or another relevant professional designation is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
