Advisor, Organizational Development and Talent Management

We are seeking a seasoned, self-directed, and intellectually rigorous OD and talent management professional to join the team as IU Health expands and deepens its organizational effectiveness function. This is a new position created as the team builds out a broader, more strategic scope across job architecture, leadership capability, skills and competencies, career pathing, feedback systems, and workforce planning. The core of this role is team and organizational effectiveness consulting. In this role, you will be traveling to IU Health locations across the state to partner with leaders and teams, diagnosing what is working and what is not, and building and delivering programs that make a lasting difference. This role requires someone who brings their own ideas, takes genuine ownership, and is energized by the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up.

The Scope:

This role serves as a strategic practitioner at the center of IU Health's Talent Management and OD expansion, including:
  • Partnering with leaders and teams across IU Health statewide to diagnose organizational and team effectiveness and recommend evidence-based interventions
  • Building and delivering talent management programs in performance effectiveness, the leader as coach model, assessment, feedback systems, job architecture, and enterprise skills and competencies including career pathing
  • Supporting workforce planning and organizational design efforts as those functions continue to develop within the team's vertical
  • Administering and interpreting validated assessment instruments and integrating results into development plans and team interventions
  • Designing and facilitating organizational diagnostics, workshops, and structured team interventions
  • Applying change management methodologies to support organizational redesign, role and career structure design, and workforce transitions
  • Producing executive-level written deliverables including briefings, recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership audiences
  • Building tools and frameworks that enable leaders and HR partners to apply organizational effectiveness practices independently
  • Collaborating with culture and engagement as work naturally overlaps, while maintaining primary focus on OD and talent management
  • Traveling to IU Health locations across Indiana as needed to deliver team effectiveness support in person


Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for this position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
  • Master's Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • Requires 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires experience in Organizational Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Employee
  • Engagement, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Requires demonstrated project and program management experience leading multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Requires demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting workforce or survey data and translating findings into recommendations.
  • Requires demonstrated facilitation experience with leader and team audiences.
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci / ADKAR, CCMP) is preferred.
  • Assessment certification or qualification (e.g., Hogan, Korn Ferry, DiSC, MBTI, 360 instruments) is preferred.
  • Coaching credential (e.g., ICF ACC/PCC) or formal coach training is preferred.
  • Rotational or generalist HR experience across multiple HR disciplines is preferred.
  • Prior experience as an HR Business Partner, Organizational Development Consultant, Talent Management Specialist, Leadership Development Consultant, Engagement or Culture Specialist, or Workforce Planning professional is preferred.
  • Experience with job architecture, career pathways, or leveling frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare or large, matrixed, multi-site organizations is preferred.
