What You Will Do:
  • Lead environmental support for projects, operations, and maintenance activities, providing guidance throughout planning, development, execution, and close-out.
  • Coordinate environmental assessments, permitting, technical studies, regulatory submissions, compliance commitments, and post-construction monitoring activities.
  • Provide practical environmental advice, assess risks, develop mitigation measures, and support compliance with environmental requirements and regulations.
  • Manage environmental consultants and contractors while supporting key environmental programs, audits, inspections, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams, Indigenous communities, municipalities, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive operational excellence by interpreting regulatory requirements, improving environmental processes and tools, and ensuring consistent environmental governance and reporting practices.


Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, Geography, Planning, or a related field.
  • 4+ years or directly related environmental experience in infrastructure, utility, pipeline, transportation, municipal, energy, industrial, or construction projects.
  • Solid understanding of environmental regulations, permitting, compliance, and risk management, with the ability to develop practical solutions that support business objectives and project delivery.
  • Proven experience managing environmental projects, consultants, studies, budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables; experience supporting Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), hydrogen, renewable energy, integrity, or other emerging energy initiatives is an asset.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, support Indigenous consultation and environmental review processes, and work effectively with regulators and external partners.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship; relevant professional designation(s) (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., EP, P.Ag., RPP, PMP), and familiarity with Ontario regulatory processes are considered assets.


Working Conditions:
  • Office or hybrid office environment with regular collaboration across project, field, operations, and functional teams.
  • Periodic travel (~10%) to field locations, construction sites, agency meetings, and project locations across the Enbridge Gas Inc. system in Ontario, may be required based on project and business needs.
  • A valid "G" class Ontario driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.


Salary:
  • Ranges from $90,000 - $105,000 CAD for Canadian locations (except Alberta) based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
