Job Description

As a SrAdvanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, , you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of advanced systems including hardware, software, and network components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system solutions meet quality standards and customer requirements, contributing to innovative and efficient technology solutions.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. Note: Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) solutions that meet performance and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, hardware, software and test engineering to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Author high-level systems requirements in DOORS
  • Conduct system-level analysis and optimization
  • Systems integration, validation, & verification
  • Model-based systems design and development
  • Work closely with stakeholders to capture and manage system requirements.
  • Ensure system specifications meet the broad array of requirements including safety, performance, and compliance
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in avionics, aerospace, communications or related disciplines
  • Proficiency in system-level analysis and optimization
  • Relocation support may be provided


WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering
  • Proficiency in systems lifecycle methodologies, requirements management, and adherence to industry standards
  • Familiarity with system integration and testing
  • Aircraft systems knowledge
  • Air Traffic Control procedures knowledge
  • Pilot background beneficial
  • Flight Simulator and Flight Test experience is beneficial
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Experience with EGPWS or TAWS
  • Support DO-178 B/C, DO-160 aerospace or other industry standards and processes
  • Experience with ARP 4754
  • Experience in common avionics development tools like Jira, Bitbucket, DOORS, CC/CQ, TeamCenter, etc
  • Leading customer interface meetings and representing product engineering
  • Supporting audits and key program reviews
  • Supporting and leading certification activities such as TSO, STC, Type Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of systems development lifecycle
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts such as AI
  • Leading diverse and global team
  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
  • Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks and people
  • Making autonomous decisions
