Full Job Description
Overview

We are seeking a full-time Advanced Solutions Engineer at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for furthering the PCB and FPC technologies and their adoption inside Garmin.

Essential Functions
  • Investigate, develop, and implement PCB and FPC technologies between vendors, manufacturing, and design engineering
  • Explore new and existing PCB and FPC technologies to identify integration opportunities in current and future products
  • Contribute to the creation of prototypes that demonstrate function and/or viability of a product or PCB/FPC technology
  • Inspire Garmin's team members by encouraging and facilitating healthy relationships within and across team disciplines and business segments to enhance openness, community and cross-pollination
  • Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques
  • Participate in PCB/FPC Product Architecture Reviews with the project teams
  • Lead mechanical initiatives as they relate to PCBs, FPCs, board-mounted components, and manufacturing improvements

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering AND a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in product development
  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
  • Must effectively demonstrate a self-starting, results-oriented, positive, proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
