Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Division of Cardiology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care in Electrophysiology (EP) within the Hybrid (Outpatient & Inpatient) settings.

This position is located at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. The APP will provide a broad range of diagnostic & therapeutic services for the patients of the blended services (inpatient & outpatient).

Schedule:
  • Full time, 1.0 fte
  • Hours may vary, and will range from Monday - Friday, 7 am - 5 pm, with occasional additional hours based on clinical needs. Requires flexibility to work evening &/or weekend hours in the future based on business needs.

Qualifications:
Preferred:
  • NP or PA experience
  • Outpatient, inpatient, adult care, acute care, &/or critical care Cardiology PA, NP, &/or RN experience strongly preferred
  • Adult Care or Acute Care NP certification


Minimum Education:
  • Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
  • Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.


Minimum Requirements:
Advanced Practice Nurse/ Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
  • Wisconsin RN License
  • Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
  • Certification Requirements:
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • CITI Certification to be completed within 90 days of hire


Physician Assistant
  • Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
  • Certification Requirements:
  • Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • BLS
