The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to provide radiation oncology medical care services within an outpatient setting. This position is located in West Bend, WI and Menomonee Falls, WI at our Froedtert West Bend and Menomonee Falls Hospitals. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as part of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching as a member of the Department of Radiation Oncology.

Position Highlights:

• Partners with interdisciplinary teams to diagnose and treat conditions requiring radiation oncology intervention across ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Performs comprehensive histories and physical exams; orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests; develops and monitors pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans; and performs appropriately credentialed procedures.
• Documents accurately and timely within the EMR, including progress notes, procedure notes, and admission/transfer orders.
• Educates and counsels patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, preventive care, and promotes continuity of care across the continuum.
• Meets all regulatory, privileging, and training requirements (including CMS and Joint Commission standards) while maintaining ongoing professional development and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday.
• No call, weekends, or nights.
• 8 hour day shift.

Qualifications:

Preferred Experience:

• Preference will be given to practitioners with prior experience in radiation oncology.

Minimum Education:

• Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
