Advanced Practice Provider Informaticist SummaryThis position is responsible for providing local leadership informatics and analytics, with a focus on their represented specialty. This position reports to the Director of Provider Informatics, the provider informaticist will manage and develop relationships with providers they are serving. They will attend specialty meetings to provide informatics and analytic perspectives. Responsibilities will also include providing clinical input to the team of application analysts developing and executing Epic build for diverse stakeholders. The position will require coordination and collaboration with other informaticists including nursing and other provider informaticists.
Advanced Practice Provider Informaticist Position Requirements Education
- Graduate from an approved professional nurse practitioner program or Physician Assistant program with board certification required.
Required License and/or Certification
- Licensed and current registration to practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland is required.
- Completion of Epic Physician Builder and/or Epic Power SmartUser Certification within one (1) year of hire required
Experience
- Experience in examining and re-engineering operations and workflows; developing and implementing new strategies and workflows is preferred.
- Experience with computerized information systems, including Epic and Microsoft Office products is preferred.
- 2 years of clinical practice experience required
