You will report directly to our Director of Chemical Engineering, and you'll work out of our Allentown, PA location onsite.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Apply engineering expertise to specify rotating equipment packages including compressors, cryogenic pumps, and turboexpanders used in world-class natural gas liquefaction processes.
- Support bid development opportunities using established tools, engineering standards, and methodologies to prepare datasheets, specifications, and requests for quotation.
- Manage equipment orders from third-party vendors, including reviewing, approving, and releasing detailed design documentation for core rotating equipment packages and their accessory systems.
- Perform engineering calculations in support of process safety, equipment optimization, and machinery protection deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including process engineering, process systems, process controls, project management, commercial, and start-up - to ensure seamless project execution while driving product development and continuous improvement.
- Support harmonization of internal engineering specifications and standards to streamline bid development and early engineering work.
- Participate in P&ID reviews, 3D model reviews, and HAZOPs at contractor and/or third-party vendor offices to ensure safety, operability, and design integrity.
- Domestic and international travel to clients' offices, OEM offices and manufacturing facilities, and plant sites expected less than 25% of the time.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
- 5 years of experience in an engineering role supporting rotating equipment, mechanical equipment packaging, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, principles of turbomachinery, and materials of construction.
- Experience in rotating equipment specification, design, and operation on large capital projects.
- Familiarity with applicable industry standards including API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, IEC, NEC.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and controls related to rotating equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Advanced Engineering degrees such as MS or ME in Mechanical Engineering.
- PE qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
