Role Overview
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Advanced Machining Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead machine shop production operations in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. This role is responsible for ensuring manufacturing teams, equipment, facilities, and processes are aligned to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives while supporting critical national defense programs.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the shaping and development of the production activity for all machine shop products.
• Establish personnel, equipment, and facility resources needed for execution.
• Ensure manufacturing engineering team is staffed, prepared, and executing to schedule commitments.
• Partner with program leaders and functional organizations to achieve program objectives.
• Drive operational efficiency, affordability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Standardize manufacturing processes and promote adoption of best practices.
• Support efforts to reduce cycle time and improve production performance.
• Monitor execution against cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Prioritize competing production demands and make sound operational decisions.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate manufacturing and program risks.
• Represent the organization on significant production and operational matters.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:
• Experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing production environment.
• Experience supporting or leading rate production operations.
• Leadership experience directing teams, production activities, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing production priorities while supporting cost, schedule, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Desired skills

• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Strong understanding of advanced machining processes and manufacturing operations.
• Experience transitioning hardware from development or prototype phases into production.
• Experience with manufacturing schedules, program execution, and performance tracking.
• Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a production environment.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training or certification.
• Experience with production planning, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
• Experience analyzing manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, or production data.
• Experience supporting facility layout, expansion, or manufacturing infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting development and sustainment programs throughout the program lifecycle.
• Proposal, Basis of Estimate (BOE), or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) experience.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Department of Defense customers.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $117,200 - $206,770. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $134,900 - $233,680. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
