Full Job Description
Advanced Engineering Technician to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in McLeansville, NC.

Responsibilities
  • Support engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, or specialized test equipment.
  • Interpret basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust a variety of tools, equipment, and systems.
  • Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
  • Implement and document complex solutions for process improvement.
  • Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks.
  • Organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolution/process improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of fabrication tools.
  • Ability to fabricate complex hardware.
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted technical theory.
  • Advanced machining capabilities using manual, as well as CNC-controlled equipment (HAAS Mills, 4th and 5th Axis, Lathes).
  • Ability to use SolidWorks or other CAM software proficiently.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate with peers and engineering to aid in design concepts.
  • Ability to use GD&T.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.
