The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career and Technical Education, Division of TechnicalSchools and Continuous Improvement, Kentucky Technical Schools Branch has an opening for an Adult/TechnicalAdmin Consultant I. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides consultative services and technical assistance in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programsincluding but not limited to work-based learning, career, and technical student organizations and CTEaccountability. Assists with the development and implementation of operational procedures for school,regional, or program administration. Performs other duties as required.
- Provides technical assistance to school and district personnel regarding Career and Technical Education(CTE) programs including but not limited to work-based learning, career, and technical student organizationsand CTE accountability.
- Provides support to the Division Director through consultative services and technical assistance in thedevelopment and implementation of career and technical education operational procedures for schools, regions,or program administration and New Teacher Institute.
- Provides technical assistance to school and district personnel regarding professional learning activitiesand continuous improvement plans for CTE staff and programs.
- Provides assistance to program, school and district staff on attainment and appropriate use of CTEfunding.
- Provides guidance and professional assistance to program, school, and district staff on best operationalpractices of CTE including alignment to community workforce.
- Serves as a liaison between local districts and Office of Career and Technical Education along withserving on various committees and task force cross agency teams. Provides support to the Division Director asneeded.

Applicants currently under contract with a local school district are required to provide a written releasefrom their superintendent prior to an offer of employment is given.
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers'Retirement System.
