Adult Speech Language Pathologist - Full Time - Days

In this role, you will evaluate and treat adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an outpatient setting. You will work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary care team to provide exceptional care and address patient goals. Ideal candidates will have experience evaluating and treating speech-language, cognition, and swallowing in the adult population as a result of traumatic brain injury, neurological, cardiac, GI, and medical diagnoses. This is a full time position outpatient position with weekend and holiday commitments are required. This position will work at our New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital location.

Preferred Criteria
  • Voice experience highly preferred
  • Experience treating adults with traumatic brain injury and a variety of neurological diagnoses
  • Experience working with patients with head and neck cancer, including pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, radiation-related complications, and laryngeal communication.
  • Experience evaluating and treating adult communication and swallowing disorders
  • Experience in dysphagia evaluation/treatment across the lifespan
  • Experience changing and managing TEPs, including prosthesis changes and troubleshooting
  • Competency and experience in Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies and/or FEES
  • Experience working with an interdisciplinary team, including ENT, Neurology, Oncology

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range:

$104,300-$132,500/Annual
