Full Job Description
We are seeking a full-time or part-time Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join The Hughes Center, a residential treatment and day school setting in Danville, Virginia. This role offers a collegial work environment with strong clinical and administrative support, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality care to adolescent patients while working alongside a collaborative care team.

  • Schedule / Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hour work week with some call Or PRN weekend coverage

  • Patient Volume: 20-30 patient contacts per week
  • Location: Danville, VA

  • Support / Care Team: Physicians, clinical staff, and administrative support services

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 + benefits, bonuses

Qualifications

The Hughes Center is a 96-bed child and adolescent residential treatment facility and day school serving ages 13-18 in Danville, Virginia. The facility supports young men and women diagnosed with intellectual disability and pervasive developmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger Syndrome, helping them develop the skills needed for greater independence through educational, vocational, and therapeutic support.

Danville is located in Pittsylvania County in Southern Virginia and offers a convenient regional location, approximately 50 miles from Greensboro, NC, 75 miles from Roanoke, VA, and just over an hour from Raleigh, NC. The campus-style facility sits on 60 acres and expanded into a new building with additional beds and resources 2.5 years ago.
