Full Job Description
Admission Nurse (RN)
Rate: $41 - $43/hour (depending on experience)
Shift: Full-Time

Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Beacon is looking to add an Admission Nurse (RN) to its nursing team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality nursing care, perform clinical assessments, administer medications and treatments, and help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of residents. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate admissions as instructed
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies
  • Perform resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, communicating concerns to providers, supervisors, and families as appropriate
  • Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and enteral feedings within the RN scope of practice
  • Accurately document assessments, care provided, treatments, and resident responses
  • Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care and timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Ensure resident care plans and clinical documentation remain current and accurate
  • Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing staff education activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
