Summary:

The Administrative Support Officer/Security Manager Qualifications shall serve as the organizational Security Manager for OASA IE&E, overseeing administrative security protocols and supporting classified operations.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate with Army security offices to ensure compliance with physical, personnel, and information security policies
  • Prepare and submit Visit Authorization Requests (VARs) for classified meetings or site access
  • Maintain a roster of all cleared personnel and ensure annual refresher briefings are conducted and documented
  • Manage document control for classified materials, including marking, storage, reproduction, and destruction, in compliance with DoDM 5200.01 Vols. 1-4
  • Maintain control logs for all classified holdings and ensure proper use of secure storage containers
  • Conduct or support security education and training programs, including initial, annual, and specialized briefings (e.g., derivative classification, foreign travel, insider threat)
  • Ensure proper classification guidance is followed for draft and final products.
  • Ensure compliance with physical security requirements (alarm systems, access control) for all spaces under OASA IE&E purview
  • Serves as the liaison with HQDA staff on access badge issuance, and SIPR tokens
  • Coordinate with Pentagon Force Protection Agency for visitor escort requirements by submitting requests etc., emergency plans, and restricted area protocols
  • Support the integration of OPSEC measures into OASA IE&E operations
  • Ensure personnel are training on OPSEC and report any known or suspected violations
  • Review and approve foreign travel requests in accordance with Army and DoD policy
  • Ensure foreign travel briefings /debriefings are conducted and reported
  • Track foreign national access to OASA IE&E sponsored events or classified areas and coordinated foreign visit requests
  • Report security incidents, infractions, or compromises in accordance with Army policy
  • Maintain security documentation, such as SOPs, training records, inspection logs, and incident reports
  • Coordinate SCI or SAP access requests when applicable
  • Maintain control of classified meeting logistics, including secure facility coordination, security container access, and courier card verification
  • Oversee administrative preparations for classified engagements, including badge requests, clearance verification, and visitor coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related matters across OASA IE&E and ODASAs, and ensure training, policy compliance, and annual security requirements are met
  • Provide additional administrative support as required during surge or continuity operations
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Army and DoD physical, personnel, and information security policies
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with Special Security Office (SSO) offices, manage classified materials, and ensure policy compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and units

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in security administration within a DoD or federal environment
  • Experience managing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Access Program (SAP), or classified meeting logistics (preferred but not required)
  • Active SECRET security clearance

 

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $138,000.00 annually.
