Summary:

The Senior Medical Logistics Analyst V provides senior-level medical logistics analysis, strategic planning, and operational support for Army medical logistics programs. This position reviews, analyzes, and assesses medical logistics data, plans, policies, and requirements and provides recommendations to support Army Medical Command (AMC) medical logistics operations. The Senior Medical Logistics Analyst V serves as a senior subject matter expert in Army medical logistics and provides strategic and operational analysis across Army, Department of Defense (DoD), joint, and theater organizations.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reviews, analyzes, and recommends solutions related to Army medical logistics capabilities, requirements, processes, and operations.
  • Provides strategic and operational medical logistics planning and analysis in support of Army and theater requirements.
  • Obtains, validates, analyzes, and presents medical logistics data from Defense Medical Logistics-Enterprise Solutions and Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) systems.
  • Develops analytical products, briefings, reports, assessments, and recommendations for senior military and civilian leadership.
  • Conducts analysis of national strategic documents, DoD guidance, Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) guidance, Army Service Component Command (ASCC) posture statements, theater support plans, prepositioned medical stocks, and Operational Plans/Contingency Plans (OPLANS/CONPLANS).
  • Provides expertise in medical strategic planning and enterprise resource planning in support of Army medical logistics.
  • Evaluates medical logistics requirements across AMC, Defense Health Agency (DHA)/MEDLOG, MEDCOM, ASCC, Theater Sustainment Command/Expeditionary Sustainment Command (TSC/ESC), and joint partners.
  • Applies knowledge of Army medical logistics systems, including Theatre Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS/TWELS), Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIP), Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), and Defense Medical Standard Support Customer Assistance Module (DCAM).
  • Assesses the impact of Military Health System (MHS) transformation on Army medical logistics operations, processes, and capabilities.
  • Leads multidisciplinary teams and facilitates integration of medical logistics requirements across multiple organizations and operational environments.
  • Provides strategic recommendations addressing medical materiel readiness, distribution, sustainment, prepositioned stocks, and theater medical logistics requirements.
  • Supports development and refinement of operational and strategic plans, including OPLANS, CONPLANS, theater support plans, and related medical logistics annexes.
  • Identifies operational risks, capability gaps, resource requirements, and opportunities for improving medical logistics readiness and enterprise integration.
  • Advises leadership on medical logistics policies, procedures, systems, and operational challenges.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge of Army medical logistics and the impact of MHS transformation on Army medical logistics operations.
  • Working knowledge of the DoD and Military Health System, including USAMMA and Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC).
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and integrating medical logistics requirements across AMC, DHA/MEDLOG, MEDCOM, ASCC, TSC/ESC, and joint partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in U.S. Army medical logistics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience serving on an Army Service Component Command (ASCC) or Major Command staff.
  • Previous experience serving as a 70A, 70H, or 70K Health Services Materiel Officer, or 68J Medical Logistics Specialist.
  • Extensive experience with TEWLS/TWELS, GCSS-A, and AESIP.
  • Extensive experience with DMLSS and DCAM.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting strategic and operational planning for the Army.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree

 

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000.
