Job Description:

The University of Phoenix, Inc. seeks a Product Manager, Technical reporting to Headquarters in Phoenix, AZ to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members and engage with business leaders to drive new or enhanced software product and software features from concept to launch with a focus on continuous, relentless improvement (CRI). Establish and monitor product OKR's with product leadership and stakeholders.

Be the one-point contact for everything related to product; create, and improvise the product vision, product roadmap, product strategy and product goals. Lead team's Product Discovery process to anticipate customer needs and work with team to produce a relevant product iteration. Collaborate with Marketing, IT, Customer Service, Enrollment, Prospect, Academics, Data and Communications teams to understand the pain points of customers by creating and evaluating the Customer Journey Map and keep the executive management/ stakeholders informed of the latest events pertaining to the product iterations. Collaborate with engineers and architects on product design. Provide technical product requirements and support the engineering team during the development process. Validate product feasibility, functionality and return on investment. Manage the Product Backlog by understanding the requirements from stakeholders and create features/ objectives/ user stories to facilitate the creation of new workflows. Play a pivotal role in setting up Acceptance Criteria, and Definition of Done. Work closely with Engineering teams and Scrum Master to ensure smooth implementation of the product functionality and defects by prioritizing the user stories in product backlog using inputs from executives and by developing internal product intelligence. Use Data Analytics tools Power BI & Excel [Pivot tables, Charts] as a basic data comprehension BI tool to create reports for executives [using PowerPoint and Miro Board]. Publish various project metrics and reports by using user research and product analytics to facilitate decision making. Participate in sprint ceremonies (refinement, planning, reviews) to ensure technical feasibility, scope clarity, and alignment with architectural standards. Collaborate with Engineering to estimate complexity, effort, and risk, and incorporate those inputs into roadmap planning and release sequencing. May telecommute from anywhere in the United States up to 5 days per week. Annual Salary: $136,228.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 5 progressive years of product management experience. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: 1) Designing and engineering technology-powered products; 2) Product discovery and delivery; 3) Delivering written and verbal presentations on data-informed product narratives to company leadership; 4) Data/Statistical analytics; and 5) Agile Development Methodologies.

Additionally, must have 1 year of experience with each of the following: A) AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon EKS, and Amazon ECS AWS cloud services and architectures, including serverless, containerized, and storage solutions; B) SQL, Power BI and Excel; C) Analyzing, evaluating and decision-making of technical architecture options using Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure; and D) Microservices architecture and automated deployment pipelines.
