Compensation Data

The base salary range for the Associate Director position is $165,600 to $248,400.

The base salary range for the Sr. Associate Director position is $196,000 to $294,000.

The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements. We continuously review market data and may adjust salary ranges as needed in the future. Description

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape disease state awareness efforts in one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing areas of pharmaceutical healthcare treatment. As part of the Consumer Marketing team, this role will be responsible for executing Obesity and/or MASH disease state awareness initiatives, translating established strategies into impactful consumer campaigns, educational programs, content, social/paid media activations, and patient engagement efforts. Success in this role requires strong project leadership, agency management, social and digital marketing expertise, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality execution and measurable business impact. While initially centered on disease state awareness, the role has the potential to expand into broader consumer marketing and launch-related responsibilities over time.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage asset plan tactics ( consumer and patient and tools, etc.) to support the brand strategy, in collaboration with other brand team members and external agencies/vendors. Begin to develop some strategies for the brand plan as well.
  • Manage risk associated with marketing programs and material by working within the MLR review process.
  • Assist in the development, management and monitoring of product forecasts and brand expense budget.
  • Monitor, analyze and interpret latest trends in the market, competition and product performance; communicate insights and recommendations to team members.
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external partners/vendors to support and ensure the effective implementation of marketing plans/tactics. Lead cross-functional teams or projects; shares expertise through mentoring of others.
  • Interact with all levels of the asset team to ensure effective communication and a team approach to implementation of tactics.
  • Provide input to market research on study design and interpret findings to refine product marketing direction.
  • Support annual business planning process as per schedule. Communicate strategic direction to internal and external partners to ensure alignment.
  • Assist Phase IV and Life Cycle Management Plans to optimize brand's long-term commercial value.


Requirements

Associate Director:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. MBA preferred.
  • Five-plus (5+) years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or strategic marketing, including three (3) years of US pharmaceutical marketing or related pharma experience.
  • Experience working directly with digital partners to develop and execute initiatives strongly preferred (e.g. Google, third party media providers, social media community platforms, etc.).
  • Experience in guiding and integrating digital analytics and driving metrics based optimization strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budget and resources.
  • Key contributor in development of marketing strategies that influence tactical implementation for brand teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • History of successful performance.
  • Demonstrates acceptable level of performance for all AD, Marketing competencies/capabilities and Our Behaviors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and database applications.
  • Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).


Sr. Associate Director:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Eight-plus (8+) years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry or marketing, including five (5) years US pharmaceutical marketing or related pharma experience.
  • Experience working directly with digital partners to develop and execute initiatives strongly preferred (e.g., Google, third party media providers, social media community platforms, etc.)
  • Experience in guiding and integrating digital analytics and driving metrics-based optimization strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budget and resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • History of successful performance.
