Description and Requirements The Opportunity The Actuary, Insurance and Product Risk Management will provide insurance and product risk oversight for Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) segment, focusing on product risk management, pricing governance, and strategic risk analysis. The diverse RIS portfolio includes products such as Pension Risk Transfer, Structured Settlements, Longevity Reinsurance, Stable Value, Retail Annuity Reinsurance and other products. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to maintain robust risk frameworks and deliver actionable insights that drive sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct risk assessments and product/pricing reviews across RIS offerings, ensuring risks are identified, understood, and appropriately mitigated.
- Review and challenge key actuarial assumptions, including mortality, longevity, policyholder behavior, expenses, and investment margins.
- Perform stress testing, scenario analysis, and emerging risk evaluations to assess product profitability under varying conditions.
- Evaluate actuarial models and asset-liability management (ALM) strategies to support sound product and portfolio performance.
- Strengthen risk governance by integrating risk management practices into product strategy and providing clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications - FSA with 5+ years of insurance or consulting experience and strong actuarial expertise.
- Broad business acumen, strategic thinking, and advanced analytical and actuarial modeling skills.
- Proven ability to build partnerships, collaborate across stakeholders, and foster effective teamwork.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and skilled at managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Proficient in leveraging approved AI tools, crafting effective prompts, and integrating AI into workflows to improve speed, quality, and efficiency while maintaining ownership of outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in retirement product development or retirement financial modeling is a plus.
- Proficiency in Asset Liability Management (ALM).
Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role
requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $116,300 - $155,100 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
