Full Job Description
We are looking for an motivated and experienced actuary to join the North America Excess Casualty Insurance Pricing & Analytics team. . You will develop and refine pricing models, conduct in-depth analyses, conduct large account case pricing, and deliver actionable insights and tools to support our excess casualty actuaries and underwriters. The primary location is in Exton, PA but open to considering candidates based at our other east cost offices. What you'll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include? • Pricing Model: Lead the development, testing, calibration, and maintenance of the pricing model and its complex rating algorithms. Drive studies on pricing parameters and change impacts. Take ownership of pricing tool data quality including oversight, analysis, documentation, metrics reporting, and remediation of data issues. Lead continuous improvement efforts. • Analytics: Analyze interal and external data to support strategy development and financial planning. Leverage advanced analytics to drive superior business performance. Develop and implement underwriting actions to enhance profitability, proactively optimising risk management. • Large Account Pricing: Utilize actuarial pricing tools and expertise to produce accurate, timely, and comprehensive account-specific pricing guidance. Collaborate and communicate effectively with actuaries and underwriters. • Collaboration: Partner with the Head of Pricing and cross-functional teams (e.g. Governance, CUO, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims, Models & Analytics, IT, Compliance, etc.) to drive pricing accuracy, profitability, and operational alignment. Maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships. • Regulatory: Uphold regulatory standards and organizational policies. Monitor regulatory changes and market conditions. Translate regulatory insights into pricing changes. • Training: Provide trainings to underwriters to enable informed decision-making. Mentor less experienced actuarial colleagues, take initiative in team projects, and actively contribute to the development of larger team practices and strategies. What you will BRING We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field • Qualification level - Qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society • Material experience in Property & Casualty actuarial pricing or reserving • Motivated, strategic thinker with a robust collaborative work ethic and a focus on quality and integrity • Advanced in and significant experience in Excel • Legally authorized to work in the posting country Desired Skills and Abilities: • Coding proficiency in languages such as Python, R, and SQL, used for data analysis, developing tools, and automating processes is a plus. • Exhibits leadership in delivering high-quality analysis, owning outcomes, and proactively seeking growth opportunities. The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD $118,700- $207,800. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience and location.
