Full Job Description

Job Description:

We are currently looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our team! This individual will be based in Glenview IL and will be responsible for preparation and review of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, analysis and cross functional communication of business results, product margin reporting and analytics, as well as special projects and ad hoc requests.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close.
  • Prepare internal financial statements, business reports, and/or reports required by corporate and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate the exchange of financial information to key stakeholders with knowledge of variances.
  • Provide Financial and Operational analysis to facilitate accurate decisions and strategies to support the division’s Operational Full Potential goals.
  • Understand and apply ITW financial policies consistently and effectively. Ensures that accurate financial records and strong internal controls are in place and being followed.
  • Assist in preparation of annual operation plan, long range strategic plans, monthly outlooks, quarterly reviews and other special analysis
  • Partner with the Accounting Manager and Division Controller to develop and lead a proficient team focused on profitable growth, accurate financial reporting, and simplifying business processes.
  • Effectively foster a culture of engagement and coaching through feedback, development planning and performance management.
  • Ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others in your work environment
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Accounting required, CPA is a plus
  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing/CPG environment is preferred
  • Basic cost accounting experience preferred
  • Understanding of financial statements and working knowledge of accounting principles and practices, ideally related to manufacturing/production/distribution businesses
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data and apply creative/innovative analysis, and the capability to form key, succinct, and actionable insights and recommendations
  • Proven track record of effectively partnering with cross-functional team members at all levels, translating data into useful information about the business, and influencing strategic initiatives to drive operational/financial results.
  • Demonstrated accountability for results and understanding of the financial impact of decisions
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP and BI systems, and Microsoft Excel

Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan.
