The Accounting Projects Lead is responsible for leading and delivering strategic accounting and finance transformation initiatives across the organization. This role partners with Accounting, Finance, IT, and Operations to drive process improvements, system implementations, regulatory compliance initiatives, and business integration efforts.
The ideal candidate brings ~10 years of progressive accounting experience, strong project leadership skills, and a track record of executing complex cross-functional initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end accounting and finance projects, including process redesign, system implementations (e.g., ERP, consolidation, reporting), and operational improvements
- Review existing Accounting Technology Stack and recommend new functionality and tools, including the utilization of AI/Claude to improve the efficiency of current processes
- Drive standardization and optimization of accounting processes (e.g., close, reconciliations, reporting) among multiple entities and geographies
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures through accounting integration and process alignment
- Assist with monthly and quarterly month-end close items and reports

Minimum Requirements -
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting + industry preferred) or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Demonstrated experience leading accounting or finance transformation projects
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Extensive experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
Preferred Qualifications -
- CPA (or equivalent certification) strongly preferred
- Experience with system implementations or upgrades
- Background in global accounting or multinational environments
- Familiarity with automation tools (RPA), data analytics, or reporting platforms
