Full Job Description
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000

The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a bonus, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation.

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager role is a leadership position within the finance organization at Zinpro and is a key partner to the Accounting Director and other Financial Leaders including the International Accounting Manager, Operations Finance Manager & Director of FP&A. This position sets the direction for the Corporate Accounting team by providing US GAAP guidance & leveraging best practices to optimize month-end processes. The Accounting Manager is accountable for the creation of timely & accurate financial statements, continuous improvements in developing an efficient month-end close process & talent development. The successful candidate is an approachable, servant leader with a bachelor's degree in accounting, comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP & a passion for process improvements. This is a hybrid based in Eden Prairie, MN.

Essential Functions
  • Leads daily operations of Corporate Accounting team maintaining the general ledger for Zinpro & Subsidiaries. Navigates Zinpro organization to identify solutions and develop accounting practices for new transactions and challenges.
  • Leads daily operations of the Corporate Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Teams including monitoring of past due payments & receipts, improving existing tools like Esker as well as mitigating financial risks.
  • Develops strong relationships with functional leaders, serving as a trusted accounting partner. Balances accounting compliance & internal controls with practical, solution-oriented support for business needs.
  • Manages Month-end Close process alongside the International Accounting manager with goal to decrease time required to close without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Prepares Timely & Accurate Financial Statements in accordance to US GAAP. Responsible for providing clarity to key drivers, metrics, and variances to budget / prior year.
  • Prepares Timely & Accurate Management Financial Statements and understand nuances vs. the Accounting Books.
  • Regularly reviews Journal Entries & Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Provides guidance on complex U.S. GAAP matters.
  • Develops talent of existing team via coaching & training. Sets clear goals & expectations and holds team accountable for execution & excellence.
  • Completes assessment of current processes & proposes ways to optimize including leveraging technology via existing tools like Blackline.
  • Adheres to and enforces the organization's accounting policies and procedures. Helps develop new guidance as business requires.
  • Supports annual budget, audit & tax returns by delegating tasks to team and answering questions as they are cascaded by Accounting Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of U.S GAAP
  • 5+ years' accounting experience
  • Experience with monthly accounting close
  • Strong communication, customer service & servant leadership attributes
  • Clear focus on process improvements

Preferred:
  • CPA
  • Experience with SAP


Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The work environment characteristics are those consistent with a standard office environment. Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Schedule Requirements

This position is expected to work within core business hours and occasionally requires participation in after-hours work with domestic and international stakeholders. This position is hybrid and on-site 3 days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Travel Requirements

This position will work primarily at Zinpro Corporate Headquarters.
