Job Description

The Plant Accounting Manager is a key financial leader within the manufacturing plant, partnering closely with the Plant Controller and operations leadership. This role owns the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the plant's financial results while ensuring strong internal controls and driving continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on, highly visible role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment and enjoys blending technical accounting expertise with operational partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-End Close Leadership - Lead and execute the full month-end close cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial results in a lean team environment.
  • Journal Entry & Reconciliation Oversight - Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Inventory Accounting Management - Oversee inventory valuation, reserves, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
  • Standard Costing & Variance Analysis - Maintain and update standard costs; analyze labor, overhead, and manufacturing variances.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance - Support SOX and internal control requirements; ensure compliance with US GAAP.

Qualifications
