Full Job Description
About This Role:

We're looking for a full-time Accounting Manager to join the Accounting team reporting to the Assistant Controller. This role is a remote role based in the USA.

In this role, you'll play a key role in supporting accurate and timely financial reporting by contributing to the monthly close, banking-related accounting operations, consolidations, account reconciliations, and audit requests. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, global SaaS environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with teams like Finance, other business teams, and external auditors. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in US GAAP technical accounting, hands-on NetSuite and banking operations, and analytical and communication excellence.

What You'll Do:

  • Support key aspects of the monthly close process to help ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare or review journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations, depending on the assigned area, in accordance with company policies and US GAAP.
  • Support banking-related accounting operations, including cash and bank reconciliations, wire initiation and approval workflows in accordance with company controls, cash activity, and related journal entries.
  • Support the consolidation process for multiple entities, including intercompany activity, eliminations, foreign currency impacts, and consolidated results.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data in NetSuite and help strengthen system-based accounting processes and controls.
  • Analyze account activity and financial results, investigate unusual items, and resolve reconciling differences in a timely manner.
  • Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to coordinate and fulfill PBC requests, respond to questions, and provide complete and accurate support.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the close, reconciliations, reporting, and other accounting processes, and help implement practical improvements.
  • Document accounting processes and controls and help ensure procedures remain current, consistent, and scalable.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance and other business teams and coordinate effectively with colleagues in multiple countries and time zones.
  • Contribute as a dependable and collaborative team member by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and helping foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, and follow-through.

This is not a complete list of responsibilities, and the scope of the role may evolve with the needs of the team and business. This role will require occasional travel for team meetings, training, or company events.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent combination of education and experience), required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and experience researching and applying accounting guidance to business transactions.
  • Hands-on NetSuite experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting banking-related accounting operations, including cash and bank reconciliations, wire initiation and approval workflows, cash activity, and related journal entries.
  • Experience with CashPro or other online banking platforms.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany activity and eliminations.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and large data sets.
  • Experience supporting external audits and coordinating PBC requests through completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, raise issues promptly, and explain accounting matters to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with limited oversight.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, manage competing priorities and multiple projects, and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with international teams or colleagues working across multiple time zones.

Nice-to-have skills or experience:

  • Public accounting experience with a Big Four firm strongly preferred.
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with SAAS company, technology or private equity-back organization.
