Job PostingThe Accounting Manager oversees daily Accounting Division operations, including supervision of professional staff, management of general ledger activities, monthly and annual financial reporting, and coordination of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Single Audit, and SEFA/SESA preparation. Responsibilities include resolving complex accounting issues; supporting month-end and year-end close; coordinating internal and external audit requests and implementing audit recommendations; reviewing grant-related financial reporting; and maintaining compliance with GAAP, GASB, Uniform Guidance, and City policies. The role also supports process improvements, development of financial procedures, and annual budget preparation. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, five years of progressive governmental accounting experience, and three years of supervisory experience. A Texas CPA license is preferred, and a valid Texas driver's license is required.
